General discussion about using/developing applications using Terrier
query language in Terrier

Hello,
My question is how to express this query in Terrier?
(phrase1 OR phrase2 OR phrase3) AND (term1 OR term2 OR term3).

I wrote the query like this:
{“phrase 1” “phrase 2” “phrase 3”} term 1 term2 term3
But it seems that quotes is not allowed to be in the curly bracket.

Can anyone give me some help on it?

Thank you very much for your kind help!

Anna

Phrase1,phrase2 and pharse3 are synonyms of each other and should be treated like that.

Thank you!

Hi Anna,

Thanks for your question. Terrier version upto 4.x dont support this syntax in the user query language. When Terrier 5 is eventually released, there will be a low-level query language that supports this.
