Query Expansion didn't turn on even is already declared

I want to use pseudo-feedback query expansion by using Terrier API and declared this in terrier.properties

querying.postprocesses.order=QueryExpansion
querying.postprocesses.controls=qe:QueryExpansion

querying.default.controls=c:1.0,start:0,end:999
querying.allowed.controls=c,scope,qe,qemodel,start,end

expansion.documents=20
expansion.terms=100

But when I tried to print the postprocess query, It didn't show any difference with the original query. Here's the code:

query_manager.runPostProcessing(request);
System.out.println("Original Query: " + request.getOriginalQuery());
System.out.println("Expanded Query: " + request.getQuery());

Could you tell point out what's the problem?
It's really hard to use terrier for a novice coder like me... please kindly help.
Thanks!

Sorry Craig, but I have another question. The query expansion did turn on but only stemmer was activated. The PRF didn't turn on at all. How to configure it? Thanks!

Hello,

also, could you tell me how to turn off the query expansion? I tried to see the results of using PRF and not but they are the same. Could you tell me how to identify where the problem is?

Thanks!
